Oh yes you are!

"I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are."
- Milton Berle

A few lucky ladies have recently had a chance to visit the set of the film 'Black Sky' in Michigan (USA) and to meet Richard Armitage. Pictures of Richard with his arm around a fan and smiling brightly to the camera have been all of the web in the past few weeks. How thoughtful of Richard to make some time in his busy filming schedule to come out and say hello to his fans. You're a true gentleman, Mr. A!

When the husband of one of these ladies mentioned that this would be his very first picture with a movie star, Richard's reply was: "I'm no movie star..."

Oh dear, sweet, Mr. Armitage, humble and modest as ever!

If you're not a movie sar yet, you definitely will be one once the world gets to know Thorin Oakenshield and when they realise that you are the real star of this film (of all 3 of them, if you ask me, but I admit that my judgement may not be completely objective).

You may not be a movie star in your own mind yet, this picture sure makes you look like one... Clooney who?

  2. I want Richard to have great success but I hate the term "movie star". With many American actors, it has a bad connotation. Perhaps the term will be more dignified once Richard becomes one :)

    1. I know what you mean, Jeannie, but it was meant in the best possible way here "a famous person".

    2. It's the same for me Jeannie. ;-)

  3. i hate that term 'star' too- it makes some actors get swelled head and big attitude and a few even get an I'm almost God complex- which thankfully our dear Richard has shown no sign of having- he keeps it real and that's what makes him so lovable.

    1. I agree, Jo. But maybe Richard will give a whole new, positive meaning to the term "star".
      Thank you for your comment!

  4. Sighhhhh! RA is such a gentleman! And I gotta say, that brilliantly smiling Richard Armitage BAFTA picture you include makes me just ... feel like I'm thirty again. And that is no mean feat. Ha!
P.S. As I shared over in RAFN, I refer to RA as a "filmmaker". Though some might relegate that term solely to the director or producer of a film, the actors bring a story to life and "make" the film. So that is how I see RA--as an exquistely talented storyteller and filmmaker. Sighhhh!

    1. 'Filmmaker' or even 'storyteller' are good ways to refer to RA.
He's definitely a gentleman, not only in his looks, but certainly also in his behaviour towards his fans. Almost too good to be true!
Oh Gratiana, I'm sure you are as fabulous today as you were when you were thirty!
